Another precise drill is a pin chuck, which is used in detailed work by people like jewelers.

A more standard drill is the hammer drill, which is quite similar in nature to the electric drills that are commonplace in the home. They are powered using a set of batteries that are rechargeable, and there is a cordless variety for nearly all types of hand drills including the hammer drill which is obviously a more specialized type of drill for specialized purposes.

Industrial drills can be found as commonplace in a wide variety of different environments where building and manufacturing takes place. Geared head drills provide continual processes of drilling for assembly line purposes if production deems it necessary. There are also milling machine drills that use a belt driven press to simultaneously lock and cut machinery and wood pieces.
