To put it as simple as possible snips are used more for plants and flowers, pruners are best for easy to manage branches that you are able to grab a hold of easily, and loppers work best for branches that are not so easy to get to and are no more than medium in size. Anything beyond that scope will likely require some type of saw. We also have little snips that are wonderful for small and delicate plants, especially such plants as herbs or even to cut some roses to bring inside of your home. Pruners are used almost like a pair of scissors would be.

 

Pruners produce a nice clean cut and we recommend it be used on such things as delicate stems and plants. These are perfect for cutting flowers and trimming off dead leaves. Pruners come with different styles of blades too. Some blades are meant for a simple quick cut and other offer more of a crushing cut that might be best on thicker woody stems.
