Chainsaws are a key part of any gardener's arsenal of power tools. They can be used for a variety of things around the yard, from trimming trees and shrubs to chopping firewood. There are three different types of chainsaws: consumer, standard, and professional. As the name implies, the consumer chainsaws are intended for people who only need a light-duty saw for small jobs around the house. Standard chainsaws are more powerful than the consumer model and usually have more features. The professional model chainsaws are designed for heavy-duty work and come in lengths up to six feet. They are intended for daily use by lumberjacks, loggers, and farmers, so they are also more durable than the lighter models.

Husqvarna, Stihl, Homelite, and McCulloch are among the most popular brands on the market today.
