Review: Welcome Home: A Home Improvement and Decorating Organizer by Christina Poggi and Nick Beilenson

Welcome Home: A Home Improvement and Decorating Organizer is released as a three ring binder, with each of its many pages ready to store information about your home. Included are pages for placing contact information for your realtor, repair people, utilities, and other important contact information. It will also help to keep track of important paper work.

It also contains useful information for decorating and giving your home a makeover. This includes giving room by room tips, space to hold fabric samples, and other places to keep track of information. It contains a room planning section which includes a graph paper layout and furniture cutouts which allows you to plan and rearrange until you find what works.

Another less advertised key feature, is the ability to add your own pages and extend the capabilities of the binder in holding pertinent information regarding your home, but doesn’t already have a place. If your craft studio is important and you want to keep track of every improvement you make, or if you want to keep a running inventory of what is being kept in your garage, this book can for a central place for all the information you want to keep at hand.

This book comes in a three ring binder style and is filled to the brim with excellent fun pages that allow you to record information about your brand new home. There are plenty of pages to fill, including places to store information about key contacts like your favorite contractors, plumbers and repairmen, and room to record important information like what style of carpeting or wallpaper has been installed, and where you purchased your appliances. You will also find plenty of pockets inside that can be used to store important things like paint samples, receipts, pictures, service information, contact information and more.

Finally, you will find graph sheets with little punch out furniture that allows you to design your own rooms on paper. If you are redecorating your home or just trying to plan the process of moving in, this resource can be absolutely vital because it will allow you to design and decorate your home before you bring anything in. Regardless of whether you are designing your home, redecorating, or just moving in for the first time, this book has a lot to offer that will allow you to keep yourself organized from start to finish. This book makes an excellent gift for a newlywed couple or as a housewarming gift. It is a great book to buy for yourself or for someone that you care about. Anyone who lives in a home can benefit from this book, whether they are redecorating, renovating, simply moving furniture around or moving in for the first time.

The book review sounds interesting. I suppose this is an excellent guide for those who plan to remodel their house on their own or for those who might need the help of a home improvement contractor.
